One Kundalini Yoga set done well is more than one needs.Yogi Bhajan

Asanas, the physical postures of yoga, are much more than just exercises. In Kundalini Yoga, they serve as a gateway to a deeper connection with the body, mind, and spirit. Each asana is like a sacred shape that holds energy, creating an opportunity for transformation. When practiced with intention and awareness, they become tools for healing, grounding, and expanding consciousness.

These postures gently work on the physical body, improving flexibility, strength, and balance. But their magic goes beyond muscles and bones. Asanas stimulate the body’s energy systems, awakening the flow of prana, or life force. They gently massage internal organs, improve circulation, and open energy pathways, helping to release blockages that may be stored from stress, tension, or emotional experiences.

For those who practice regularly, asanas become a moving meditation. The focus shifts from “getting the pose right” to feeling the subtle shifts happening inside. Breath and posture unite, creating a rhythm that soothes the nervous system and calms the mind. With each breath, the body softens, the heart opens, and space is made for new energy to enter.

Kundalini Yoga asanas, in particular, often emphasise spinal flexibility, which is key to maintaining vitality and longevity. By working with the spine, we open the energy channels that run along it, allowing the Kundalini energy to rise naturally, connecting us with our highest self. In this way, asanas nurture not only the physical body but also the mind and soul, offering a pathway to inner peace, balance, and transformation.
